![]() ![]() ![]() Luxea is a fairly serious option for many people who produce streamable content. I have been putting it off in the hopes that the next version of Video Studio will have a few of the tools I've been looking for. My elderly copy of Camtasia 9 is sorely in need of an upgrade, but the upgrade price is $99, and the way I use it, it just hasn't been a cost-effective expenditure for me. I have long been a user of Techsmimth's Camtasia and Snagit. My first impression (without extensive testing) is VERY favorable. The price of the two are roughly similar, so I suspect Video Studio will likely "fade out" naturally even if ACDSee doesn't cast it to the cutting room floor. It probably doesn't matter if Video Studio 4 goes away, or not. I tried to register it in my ACDSee Gold subscription and it was registered, so I suspect it is replacing Video Studio 4. This is closer to Techsmith's Camtasia than it is to more generic beginning editors. This is a different Editor from their older Video Studio 4 product. I'm going to cross-post this to the DPR video forum. ![]()
